Get your dog back on track.
Pulling, reactivity, barking, not listening. Whatever's making daily life harder than it should be, we work on what's actually happening in your home and on your walks, one steady step at a time, until you have a dog you can relax around again.
At a glance
The essentials
You're not alone in this
You love your dog. The behavior is another story.
Reactive walks you dread. A dog who won't come when it counts. Barking, chaos at the door, a home that feels a little out of control. None of it means you have a bad dog, and none of it is permanent. We start from the behavior in front of us, build a plan around your dog, and change it one steady step at a time.
What we can work on
You set the goals
Behavior work is driven by what's making life harder than it should be. A few of the many possibilities:
- Pulling on the leash
- Reactivity toward other dogs
- Reactivity toward people or strangers
- Not coming when called
- Not listening or ignoring commands
- Excessive barking
- Jumping on people
- Lunging on walks
- Door darting or bolting
- Counter surfing
- Resource guarding (food, toys, space)
- Anxiety or nervous behavior
- Lack of focus or impulse control
- Difficulty settling in the home
- Overexcitement around guests
- Fear-based behaviors
Programs that fit
Two ways to work together
Most behavior work starts with private lessons. If you want faster progress and a drop-off option, day training covers the same ground at an accelerated pace.
Private Lessons
One-on-one coaching where you set the goals and I build the plan to reach them. Hands-on, reward-based work for real behavior change and the everyday results you want most. Single sessions or bundles of 3, 5, or 10.

The same work as private lessons at an accelerated pace. Full eight-hour drop-off days, flexible to your schedule. I put in the reps while you go about your day, and your dog comes home having made real progress.

What clients say
“I couldn't recommend Steady Steps enough! I have two very large, very different dogs who both needed a little extra training, and I was so impressed at how knowledgeable Dani was about such different training issues. My German Shepherd worked on impulse control and my Great Pyrenees on leash anxiety. Thank you so much, Dani!
Taylor, with Lucy & Walter
“Dani worked with my highly busy, high-energy dog on loose-leash walking and decompression, and the videos they sent me looked like a whole different dog! He was walking politely and seemed extremely calm and at ease, rather than his usual neurotic, high-energy, leash-pulling state.
